After a long walk in the cold, it’s hard to beat some good spicy Korean food to warm back up again.

Not letting the slightly odd name deter us, we found ourselves one recent evening at Big Mama in Swanston Street, Carlton.

Melbella is quite partial to a good bibimbap, and to date, Big Mama tops the list of favourites by a mile.

A good mix of Japanese and Korean cuisine, at the cheap end of the scale without the cheap feel.
